Revised MM 7.9.5 Released by CEPT

The Following modules are modified and it has been released the revised version of MM 7.9.5 by CEPT on 28.06.2016. All offices are requested to upgrade the revised version of MM7.9.5 to overcome the bugs available in the previous version. 1. Schedule  2. Sub Account 3. Point of Sale 4. RELEASE OF MM PATCHES FOR REVISED SERVICE TAX W.E.F 01.06.2016

The service Tax krishi kalyan 0.5% added into the Service tax w.e.f 01.06.2016 for all the products. This will be incorporated into MM Software by CEPT for effective implementation of Service Taxes for our products. 
As per Official Source said that the directorate requested CEPT to develop a MM patch for Revised service tax. CEPT accepted the request and development is in progress.
Patch for Revised Service Tax will be released Shortly. Probably, It will be released by today or tomorrow.

Steps to be followed for the COD articles showed as pending

Disaster Recovery

  • Postman Operator> Tools> Disaster Recovery for Parcel COD. Enter disposal in respect of articles shown there.
  • Then login as Postman Supervisor>Tools>Parcel COD Disaster Verification. Verify all the articles which are already updated from the operator login.

Window Deposit

  • Postman Operator> Window delivery> COD articles. If any articles are pending, take the returns.

BO Verification not done

  • Then login as Postman Supervisor> Treasury> BO COD Verification.  Choose the date  for  which verification is pending and then verify the article.

BO Remarks not taken

  • Postman Operator> BO Remarks> COD Articles. If any articles are pending take the returns.
  • Then login as Postman Supervisor> Treasury> BO COD Verification. Verify all the articles already updated through Operator Login

Article delivered but not received in epayment

  • Login as Postman PA> Reports> COD Article Delivered but No epayment data Transmitted.It shows if  the epayment status of the article is updated or not.
  • If epayment communication is run using data card then all the epayment transactions must be authenticated in the epayment divisional  login  so that the transactions will be received in the epayment server.

COD article received as Non COD

  • Login as Postman Operator Tools Enquiry Choose the transaction type as Parcel. It will show the details if the article is processed as a non COD.

ePayment Upgradation 

  • ePayment exe version should be 7.9.2 or above

Parcel COD article status

For the balance articles, please check this option i.e., Postman Supervisor> Parcel COD article status.
It shows the status of the all the COD articles Received with solution for the problem.

  1. Upgrade Meghdoot Parcel Net Update 7.9.1 Released dated 29.03.2014.
  2. Download and execute Postman Issues and Solutions.
  3.  Download Revised Postman exe from PoTools.

Tips To Upgrade Status Of Parcel Net 7.9.1

  • after Upgrade Parcel Net Update 7.9.1 in Post offices all the updated modules should open/execute at once before Run R Net Communication.
  • Download Upgrade Status Tool from PoTools to Check the version of Point of sale, Despatch, Postman and R Net communication.

Need for deletion of COD message received will arise in various circumstances.  Duplicate COD messages in the invoicing option of COD article in Postman module is the important issue in this connection.  In some cases, the COD message will receive even after its delivery and in some other case the message will receive after it has been handled manually by sending service eMO/MO. This tool can be used as a temporary means to solve such issues.  SA password is not needed to execute the file but trusted connection is needed to complete the process.

Upgrade Instructions

  1. Please take backup of all related databases after completion of the day’s work before proceeding for going for up-gradation of this update.
  2. Please go through the User Guide for Parcel Net (provided separately for Post Offices and Parcel Hubs) before attempting for installation/up-gradation
Sequence For Post Offices
        Please upgrade in the order given below without altering the sequence( ePayment has to be upgraded first then only Postman Has to be upgraded)


ePayment

  1. Run eCounter27032014.exl file with script tool.
  2. Run ECounter_POCodes_26022014.exl file with script tool
  3. Run eVPPincodes_26022014.exl file with script tool
  4. Replace existing ePaymentClient.exe with new one.

Point of Sale and Despatch 

  1. Replace the existing PointOfSale.exe with the new PointOfSale.exe in installation path.
  2. Upgrade the Counter database with the exl files available in the folder.
  3. Copy the Cash.Dll to the Point Of Sale Client installation path and register the dll.
  4. Replace the existing Despatch.exe with the new Despatch.exe in PointOfSale Client installation path.

Postman

  1. Replace existing Postman.exe with new one.
  2. Replace existing EMODelivery.dll with new one.
  3. Replace existing EVPDelivery.dll with new one.
  4. Register both EMODelivery.dll and EVPDelivery.dll
  5. Run Postman-1.exl and Postman-2.exl with script tool.(Please ensure ePayment already upgraded)

Treasury

  1. Rename the existing Treasurer.exe and copy the new Treasurer.exe in the same location.
  2. First Run the Treasury_1.exl file and then Treasury_2.exl file with script tool.
RNet Communication
  1. Replace existing RNet Communication exe with the new one.
  2. Then give request for Office Master using the below options
  3. Tools > Get Office Master and then call server 
  4. Tools >Get Hub Master and then call server
BNPL-Parcel (New application)

  1. Run the setup for fresh installation and install the application in the BNPL-Parcel system. 
  2. Replace existing PBC_Project.exe with new one according to the system type (whether 32 -bit or 64-bit)
  3. Run BNPLPARCEL2403014.exl file using Script tool.
  4. Run POCodes24032014.exl file using Script tool.
(Separate document is available for implementing the Bulk Booking Process in both Post offices and Parcel Booking Centres)

eMO

  1. Run eMO 7.9.1.exl file using Script tool.
  2. Run NREGAEMO 7.9.1.exl file using Script tool.

Solution for Postman 7.9 dated 20.12.2013

Issues
1. COD Articles Appearing more than once for Invoicing
 2. Postman Day End Error "Select BO EVP's For Verification"
 3. Already Dispatched BO COD Articles Not Appearing for Supervisor Verification.
 4. COD Articles Fetch Error for Invoicing.

R Net Communication 4.0 Issues and Solution

Issue-
           R Net Communication Shows an error message Incorrect syntax near 'S'. Unclosed quotation mark after the character string ')'.


Solution
1.Take backup of R Net Communication folder.
2.Delete all files inside the DATA Folder.
3.Give Fresh Office Master and Hub master request through R Net Communication.

Advantage:
You can use any scripts released by CEPT (75 max).
The Scripts should be serially numbered.
(This is only to maintain the sequence suggested by CEPT.)
