CABINET COMMITTEE APPROVED 10% DEARNESS ALLOWANCE HIKE FOR CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES AND PENSIONERS

The Union Cabinet today approved to increase in  Dearness Allowance by 10% to Central Government employees.
The rate of Dearness allowance shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 90% to 100%.

Revised rates effective from 1.1.2014.

Finance Ministry will publish detailed orders regarding this issue within this month.

How to Apply for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant Exam 2014 with Screen Shots



Friends.. Application submission for Postal/Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) Exam 2014 started on 26 February 2014. Applications are to be submitted online. Candidates have to visit the websitewww.pasadrexam2014.in for submittingonline applications. For your help in this post, we are bringing you the detailed procedure for submitting the application online along with screen shots. This will certainly help you applying without any doubts. (This time application procedure has been made very simple. In most cases you have to just select credentials from the drop down menu available).

Note: Before starting feeding of inputs the applicant should be ready with the Percentage of marks scored in qualifying 10+2/12th class up to two decimals and Year of passing, Date of birth, soft copies of passport size Photo (in size of 10KB to 20 KB in .jpg/jpeg format) and scanned Signature (in size of 5KB to 10 KB in .jpg/jpeg format) which are required to be uploaded after filling up of the inputs and uploading the application on-line.

>> The applicant has to use an Internet enabled work station, personal computer/laptop and should open the website www.pasadrexam2014.in to find the link “CLICK HERE TO APPLY” on the home page for Registration of On-line Application.

Step 3: Click Save Data. Now a message will be shown as follows " Your Data Saved successfully. Please upload Photo and Signature."

Step 4: Click on the button Upload Photo/Sign situated near the button "Save Data" as shown in Screen Shot. A pop up box will open (If pop up is blocked click on the box and enable it). A screen as shown in the below screen shot appears.


Please remember the following:
PHOTO – A recent and sharp Photo of Applicant in color of Passport size is to be uploaded. Do not sign on the photograph and do not get the photograph attested. A soft/scan copy of photo is to be Uploaded in jpg/jpeg format of size not more than 20KB. Applicant's Photo shall be used for the official record and during the Examination process. In case there is a variation in the Photograph at the time of Examination in Paper I/II candidate is not allowed to take the
examination.

SIGNATURE– Signature of Applicant. A sharp scanned copy of recent Signature is to be Uploaded in jpg/jpeg format of size not more than 10KB. The Applicant's signature shall be used for the official record and during the Examination process. In case there is a variation in the Signature at the time of Examination in Paper I/II candidate is not allowed to take the examination.

Step 5: Select Photo and Signature and click Upload button. If you follow the correct specification a message showing successful upload of Photo & Signature will come.

Step 6: Now you will again come to the earlier page where details have been entered. Now click on "Preview" button available near "Upload Photo/Sign" button. When you click on that, a sheet showing the details you entered along with your Photo and Signature will appear. If he/she wants to change, he can go back and make required changes and Save once again. He/she can once again see Preview and only after he/she is satisfied can finally presses SUBMIT button.
It is mandatory for the applicant to see that his/her PHOTO & SIGNATURE are seen with good clarity and fits into the boxes given in the PREVIEW. If PHOTO / SIGNATURE are found to be blurred or smaller /bigger than the box at the later stage its application & his/her candidature will be cancelled without any communication and no FEE will be refunded.

Step 7: If all details are correct now it is time to submit the application. Click on Submit button.

Step 8: This button finally saves the application. Please note that no changes in the Application Data will be permitted after this stage. Applicant is Prompted with the message “Registration has been done successfully” and (a Unique) Registration Number is generated for the application. This Registration Number along with a Password is sent to applicant’s email ID and also through a SMS on Applicant’s Mobile for future login and references. If applicant is not getting email, please check the Junk email/ SPAM too in the email account.

Step 9: After successfully submitting the application, the following LOGIN page will appear. You can log in using the Registration Number and Password provided.


Step 10: On successful LOGIN the following page will appear where he/she finds the links PRINT CHALLAN TO PAY FEE, CHECK PAYMENT STATUS & PRINT REGISTRATION SLIP.


Step 11: Click on Print Challan to generate challan for payment of fees. On clicking link for “PRINT CHALLAN TO PAY FEE” applicant generates FEE Challan needed to pay FEE. It has to be printed using a Laserjet or Inkjet printer ONLY on an A4 size sheet. The screen shot of the challan is shown below.
 
Step 12: Go to ePayment Post office to Pay Fee. (Click Here to see name of ePayment Post Offices). Applicant is required to carry hardcopy printout of FEE CHALLAN (Three copies one A4 sheet) to one of the ePayment Post Offices and pay FEE in CASH. The sheet contains Three copies of challan. Two copies will be collected by the Counter and applicant can retain Applicant’s Copy for future reference. On payment of FEE in CASH Applicant will get a paper RECEIPT which is also to be retained for future reference. Before leaving Counter, Applicant is required to match Registration details printed on the RECEIPT with FEE CHALLAN for its correctness.

Step 13: Login and Check payment status. For checking the “Payment Status” Applicant is to LOGIN after 3 days. If your payment till then has not been reflected in the Registration System, to do enquiry applicant can send a query on the email ID helpdesk.dopexam@gmail.com. If Payment Status is “Paid” you may proceed to next for printing of Registration Slip.

Step 14: Print Registration Slip. On getting status of “You have PAID the FEE”, applicant is required to print REGISTRATION SLIP for future reference.

Country's first Post Office Savings Bank ATM opened at T Nagar HO on 27/2/2014



Country's First Post Office Savings Bank ATM  inaugurated by Shri P. Chidambaram, Hon'ble Union Finance Minister, Govt. of India on Thursday the 27th February 2014 at Thyagaraya Nagar Head Post Office, Shivagnanam Road, T'Nagar, Chennai,  Tamilnadu - 600017. 



In order to meet the requirements and needs of the I.T modernization project, Infosys Core banking Solution (CBS) will be implemented across India covering all the Post offices.

        Core Banking Solution (CBS) - FINACLE is networking all the Post offices which enable customers to operate their accounts and avail Account related services from any Post offices on CBS network regardless of where he/she maintains his/her account. The customer is no more the customer of a particular Post office. He becomes the Post office Savings Bank (POSB) customer. Thus CBS is a step towards enhancing customer convenience through “Anywhere and Anytime Banking”. As Finacle is integrated to all the banks in course of time, the customer can access any bank account through post office.

        Around Rs.700 crore is earmarked for this Project. Core Banking Solution(CBS) for Post office Savings Bank is being implemented throughout India. As on date, 57 Head Post offices and 11 Sub Post offices have migrated covering 64 lakh accounts.  By 31.03.2014, 700 more Post offices will be covered. All the 26,840 Post offices would be functional in CBS by 2016. About 2 billion US$ have also been migrated.

        As part of this, the Post office Savings Bank ATM at Thyagarayanagar HPO is being inaugurated on 27.02.2014 by Shri. P.Chidambaram, Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Govt. of India. This is the first ATM opened and dedicated for the nation. Four more ATMs are ready for operation. The ATMs were installed by Infosys.

FAQ OF ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR POSTAL ASSISTANT / SORTING ASSISTANT EXAMINATION 2014

How to apply for the post?

Can a candidate who is awaiting final result apply for the post?
 
 - A candidate must have passed the qualifying 10+2 Examination/ Equivalent examination as on closing date of Registration.

3.
 A candidate who passed out from distance education, can apply for this job?
 
 A candidate must have passed in the qualifying 10+2 / 12th Class examination from a Recognized Board / University. Applicants who studied in vocational streams in 10+2 OR Equivalent Examination are not eligible.

4.
For PH (physically handicapped) candidate what is the Age Relaxation?
 
- Additional Ten years. Further any Physically Handicapped candidate seeking exemption to appear in Paper II needs to produce a Medical Certificate issued by competent Medical Authorities in the prescribed format.

5.
Whether NOC has to be obtained for applying by the applicants from PSUs/ Govt. Departments?
 
- Yes. NOC will be verified at the time of call letter for qualified candidates. Applicant is required to intimate his/her employer before Registration.

6.
Whether SC/ST/OBC certificate in the State Government Performa allowed?
 
- No, SC/ST/OBC certificate should be in the format prescribed for employment under the Government of India & issued by the competent authority.

7.
. Can an Ex-serviceman get any age relaxation?
 
- Yes, as per rules of Government of India. Age Calculator: His/her Actual Age (minus) Number of Years served in armed forces ≤ 30 years.

My residence is in Assam, Can I apply for Karnataka Postal Circle?
 
- Yes. But “Only one Application per Applicant bearing Indian Nationality” is permitted. This may be for any Circle.

I am unable to complete the Application. It comes out and gives one prompt / message.
 
- You are either Not Eligible to Apply according to criteria Advertised or not filling the inputs properly. Please read the Prompt and the “Instructions” carefully & Retry the Registration. For any further clarity send your query at helpdesk.dopexam@gmail.com. Please mention any one of the problems i.e. Age, Category, Sub-Category, English Language, Hindi Language, Photo, Signature, Others in the “Subject” of the email to get faster response.

I am unable to Upload Photo & Signature.
 
- You are unable to see the Screen (webpage) to Upload. This may be due to reason that the “Popup Blocker” is ON at your Browser. Put it OFF using Browser tools.

What to do if photograph and signature are not getting uploaded?
 
- Please check the size of photograph (10 to 20 KB) and signature (5 to 10 KB) and format of files must be JPG or JPEG.

12.
Can the photograph and signature be uploaded at the downloading admit card?
 
- No, the photograph and signature are to be uploaded at the time of registration only.

13.
I have printed the FEE Challan. Where do I deposit the FEE.
 
- You can pay your FEE in CASH at ePayment Post offices listed under the link ePayment Post offices on the Home Page of www.pasadrexam2014.in You can pay your FEE within Five days after last date of Registration.

On checking FEE Payment Status, it says “Not Paid Yet” whereas I have already paid the FEE.
 
- Post office is in the process of sending information. Please wait for 2 to 3 working days.

15.
If the print out of the registration slip could not be taken at the time of registration, can it be taken out at a later date?
 
- Yes. The print out of the registration slip can be taken at a later date on “Login” using Registration Number and Password.
16.
Whether the registration number can be viewed again if the same has not been noted down at the time of submission of application.
 
- Yes. The same can be retrieved from the email & SMS sent you at the time of Registration.
17.
Whether educational and experience certificates are required to be attached along with registration?
 
- No. Educational and experience certificates are not required to be attached along with registration slips. These certificates will be verified for the finally selected candidates after the declaration of Final Merit List.
18.
any change in data allowed after the submission of application?
 
- No.
19.
What is the validity for the challan for deposit of Fee?
 
- The challan would be valid for FIVE days after the closing date of Registration during which applicant can deposit FEE.
20.
. Will Admit Card in hardcopy be sent to me by post?
 
- No. Only softcopy of Admit Card shall be downloadable from this website using Registration number and Password at the appropriate time notified on the website. Please visit the website regularly for notifications & updates.
21.
What is the model of written examination? Please give some selective book.?
 
- Written paper will consist of multiple choice objective type questions only and will be OMR based. No specific book is recommended.

What is the syllabus:
 
- Paper I (Aptitude Test): 100 MCQs covering: General Knowledge, Current Events, Sports, History, Geography, basis economics, general politics, Indian Constitution, Science Environment, etc. Mathematics of Matriculation standard covering number system, simplification, decimals, corrections, simple & compound interest, percentage, average, profit & loss, menstruation, time & work, time & distance, etc. English language covering grammar (prepositions, adverbs, conjunction, direct/indirect speech, singular & plurals, tenses, antonyms/synonyms, etc. Reasoning and analytical ability, etc. Paper II (Computer/Typing Test): Test on Typing and Data Entry in English/Hindi for qualified candidates in Paper I as per the rules of recruitments. Accuracy and Speed shall be evaluated of both Typing and Data entry tests put together tests.

What should I do if there is lot of delay in accessing the page?
 
Speed for Registration of On-Line Application on Internet, is based on various factors like Internet Speed, large number of applicants trying to register the application at the same time etc. Therefore if you are not able to get the pages for registration immediately, please retry after a gap of 15 minutes or during off-peak hours during the night.

How do I know that my application is registered?
 
Successful Registration is indicated by the Page displayed after clicking the Submit Button indicating the generated "REGISTRATION NO." and "PASSWORD". The same shall be sent through an email to email ID & SMS to mobile number of the applicant given in the application.

I did not receive the email intimation for registration of my application?
 
"REGISTRATION NO." and "PASSWORD" are sent by auto-response Confirmation emails. Delivery of these emails purely depends upon the correctness of E-Mail ID provided, Policy of your E-Mail Service Provider to accept and Divert such emails under Bulk or Spam Mails or bounce back such mails without accepting it due to heavy number of emails generated by our Applications. In case of Govt./official /company Email Ids, delivery is controlled by your Company Policies. Therefore, please do not expect replies from us, if you do not receive such confirmation / auto-response Emails. "REGISTRATION NO." and "PASSWORD" are also sent by SMS to mobile number of the applicant given in the application. For the problem of service provider, department shall not be responsible for non-receipt of email / SMS.
